1. Review the
Eligibility Requirements
before submitting the application.
2. Submit an Online Application
Submit the
online application form then continue with the remainder
of the process described below.
3. Assemble the following documents
(in electronic format):
i A resume summarizing past employment,
extracurricular activities and honors or other recognition
received as an undergraduate or graduate student. Include
organizations, both professional and social; special
activities; sports; committees, community activities in which
you have participated. Please be specific in describing your
role.
ii. An essay of no more than 1,000 words
addressing the following:
-
The area of business you expect to study and
your reason for choosing this field;
-
How your goals and FWA goals align including
how the FWA's mission of supporting women in finance will help you
achieve those goals;
-
How your business education fits your
life/career goals;
-
Why you believe you deserve this scholarship;
iii. A complete transcript from your current
university or college, and your undergraduate transcript if
you are entering a graduate program, and
iv. A copy of your completed detailed (not
summary) FAFSA (Federal
Application for Student Aid) which can be found at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Special Note for International Students: We are aware that international students
are not eligible for federal dollars and typically do not
complete this form, however, our process requires it. The
purpose of this information is to support our evaluation of your financial
need.Please complete a PDF version of the FAFSA form for the upcoming school year which you can find here (The social security number can be left blank on this version).
v. Two letters of recommendation which must
be sent directly from the writer:
-
One from a professor or advisor familiar with
your work; and
-
One from a client or employer
These letters should be emailed to :

vi. A current photo. This
photo will be attached to your application and used during
interviews to connect names with faces. In the event that
you are selected to be a scholarship recipient this photo will
be posted on our website as part of an announcement.

3. Upload the documents onto the website.
As you submit your application you will be given
instructions on how to login to the website and upload the
required supporting documents. All documents will need to be provided in electronic format and each must be less than 2MB in size. If you have trouble uploading specific documents they may be emailed to
