Tracea Routie

Tracea is a Guyanese-American citizen and spent her childhood in South
America before moving to New York. She attended New York University (NYU) as a
prestigious Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholar and graduated magna cum laude in
2001 with a B.S. in Finance. Upon graduation from NYU Tracea accepted a position
at Citigroup's Salomon Smith Barney Investment Banking division. Shortly after
joining, she was recruited by the CFO to become part of a start-up internal
M&A and strategy team for Citigroup's Global Corporate & Investment
Bank. After two rewarding years working on the institutional side of the
business, Tracea sought to round out her financial services experience by
learning the retail side of the business, and she obtained a position working on
strategic management initiatives in Citigroup's Private Clients division, Smith
Barney. She will be attending Stanford University's Graduate School of Business
in the fall and is also a Goldman Sachs MBA fellow. Tracea is thankful for the
senior managers who mentored her while working at Citigroup and attributes much
of her success to their mentorship. She looks forward to being a part of the
Financial Women's Association and having the opportunity to be mentored and to
mentor others.
Tracea feels very blessed for all that she has been given and is very
passionate about giving back, particularly in the areas of poverty and
education. During her three years working on Wall Street she was a member of
several alumni advisory boards and committees for her undergraduate alma mater,
NYU. She also loves children and was a second grade Sunday School teacher. Most
recently, she has been involved in strategy, fundraising and volunteer efforts
for Hope for New York, a not-for-profit organization catering to the very
destitute of New York City. Tracea looks forward to continuing to serve others
and giving back to the Stanford and the Bay Area community.
