Bulbul Goswami
Mills College
Bulbul is a successful architect, having worked for several premier
architectural firms in India and the United States. Most recently she has worked
for the City of Oakland: six years as a Planner in the Planning Department, then
nine years in Economic Development. Bulbul's passion for redevelopment and
neighborhood commercial revitalization drives her participation in a variety of
community activities, including Board positions on the International Boulevard
Merchants Association, MacArthur Boulevard Merchants Association, American
Planning Association-California Chapter, as well as membership in other related
organizations.
Bulbul is pursuing her MBA at Mills College to expand her understanding of
finance and business, as she works towards her goal of becoming a director of
finance at a public or nonprofit organization, focused on economic development
and affordable housing. She has a BA in Architecture and a Masters in City
Planning from Notre Dame. Bulbul believes that creative financing is the means
to success of economic development projects.
