Julieta Johnson
San Jose State University
Julieta was born in Mexico and immigrated to California as a young girl,
gaining work experience in her family's restaurant business. She went on to
manage other restaurants before pursuing higher education. While at Cabrillo
College, Julieta overcame a learning disability and went on to excel in her
studies. Julieta will be graduating in December with a Bachelor's degree in
Business from San Jose State University with a major in Accounting, where she is
on the membership committee of CalCPA, Beta Alpha Psi, Association for Latino
Professionals in Accounting and Finance, and AACSB International.
Julieta intends to become a Certified Public Accountant and to use her
education and work experience to open her own business to serve as a leader for
the Hispanic community. She will be joining Grant Thornton, LLP, as an associate
after having successfully completed its summer internship program in 2004.
