Macharva Lucas
Stanford Graduate School of Business
Macharva is a native New Yorker. She completed her BA in Organizational
Behavior and Communications from New York University, while having worked
full-time throughout her academic tenure. She has five years of experience in
the financial industry, and her strong academic performance, professional
experiences and commitment to the financial industry, earned her a Toigo
Fellowship through the Robert Toigo Foundation. Most recently, Macharva has
worked as a summer intern with Columbia Management Advisors in the Equity
Research department.
Macharva believes strongly in giving back to the communities in which she
participates both formally and informally. This past year she served on the 2006
Stanford Management Internship Fund Executive Committee and was responsible for
staff and faculty outreach efforts.
Macharva is beginning her second year at Stanford Graduate School of Business
in pursuit of her Masters in Business Administration. While her near term
interests are in the investment management industry, she hopes that she can one
day leverage her financial expertise to open and manage an adolescent health
care center for underprivileged teens.
