Candice Liu
Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley
Candice began her finance education even before she attended the Haas School
of Business at UC Berkeley where she will be a junior in the fall. While still
in high school, she had an internship with a Hong Kong based financial firm.
This opportunity introduced her to business and specifically finance. During the
spring semester, Candice had an internship with Deloitte Financial Advisory
Services. In that position she used her French language skills (Candice has a
minor in French) to interpret French company balance sheets for the firm.
A motivating factor in Candice’s decision to pursue a business career was a
change in her family’s financial circumstances. While still in High School, she
became responsible for a much younger brother when her parent moved to Hong
Kong. One of her first personal goals when she begins to work will be to send
her brother to college.
